Geotechnical and Materials Laboratory

Beyond’s geotechnical and materials testing laboratories in Round Rock, Midland and Lubbock, Texas are professionally equipped for testing soil, rock, concrete, along with various aggregate materials, in accordance with AASHTO, ASTM,  TxDOT and other applicable specifications and standards. Beyond utilizes a state-of-the-art, automated testing equipment that can reduce testing turn-around time significantly while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Beyond’s highly experienced laboratory technicians are fully trained and carry ACI/TxDOT certifications.

Beyond’s in-house quality assurance program meets or exceeds AASHTO R-18, ASTM C1077 (Concrete and Aggregate), and ASTM D3740 (Soil and Rock), and ensures a high level of accuracy and reproducibility in our testing services. Construction Materials Testing

Beyond’s Construction Materials Testing (CMT) services assist in providing verification that a construction project has been constructed in accordance with its plans and specifications. Our experienced CMT engineers, dedicated project managers and certified technicians provide timely and reliable observation/testing reports in excavation/earthwork, shallow and deep foundations, aggregate, hot-mix asphalt, concrete, reinforcing steel, post-tensioned cables, shear walls, batch plant and fire proofing as well as structural inspection and non-destructive testing. Our integrated team of engineers and field technicians enables our clients to anticipate and minimize potential issues and delays while keeping a close watch on schedules and costs.

When working on projects that are not physically close to our laboratories, we have the ability to establish an on-site laboratory for the proper curing and testing of concrete specimens with site-calibrated equipment. This service provides immediate concrete and grout break data to the project, as well as reducing the likelihood of specimen damage during transportation.
